OCEAN MES is the manufacturing execution system of Ocean Formulations, a contract manufacturer of nutritional supplements. It runs the factory's day-to-day work: purchase orders and receiving, warehouse locations and batch traceability, weighing and blending, encapsulation and bottling, quality records, and outbound shipping.
It is private software for our own staff. There is no public sign-up, and it is not sold or offered as a service. Visiting any other page of this site will ask you to sign in.
The Google Sheets integration
One part of the system talks to Google. Our freight forwarder tracks our sea containers in a shared spreadsheet, and one column of it is reserved for arrival status. Rather than have somebody retype that status by hand, OCEAN MES looks up where our containers actually are and writes a short line into that column.
That is the whole of it: one column, one spreadsheet, our own shipments. What is accessed and what is stored is set out in the Privacy Policy.
