Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026

OCEAN MES is the internal manufacturing and inventory system of Ocean Formulations. It is not a consumer product and not offered to the public: an account is issued by Ocean Formulations to its own staff, and there is no sign-up.

This page describes what the application does with data obtained through Google APIs. It is written for the one integration that uses them.

What Google data the application accesses

OCEAN MES requests a single OAuth scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets, authorised by one Ocean Formulations staff account. It requests no access to Gmail, Drive files generally, Calendar, Contacts, location, or any Google profile data beyond the email address of the account that grants consent.

Why it is used

Ocean Formulations imports raw materials and packaging by sea container. Our freight forwarder maintains a shared spreadsheet tracking those shipments, and one column of it is reserved for arrival status. Our staff member holds edit permission on that column.

The application looks up the live status of our own containers with a commercial container-tracking provider and writes a short summary into that column — for example the container number, the last movement that actually happened, the terminal, the expected arrival, and the vessel. This replaces a person retyping the same information by hand.

What is stored, and where

What is not done

OCEAN MES's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Withdrawing access

The account that granted consent can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking it stops the application from reading or writing anything through Google APIs, immediately and without any action on our part.

Retention and deletion

The stored refresh token is deleted when access is revoked or when the integration is retired. To request deletion of data held about you, write to the address below; we will confirm what was held and what was removed.
